Dr. Obholz and Dr. Antonelli
Dr. Yelena Obholz received her undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, and her D.D.S. degree from New York University College of Dentistry. She completed a residency at Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, where she did advanced work in periodontics, oral surgery and prosthodontics.
She worked in private practice in Maryland before opening her own office in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Obholz is committed to keeping her dental skills up to date and spends many hours each year taking continuing dental education classes. She is currently enrolled in the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies curriculum.
Dr. Obholz resides nearby in Kensington, MD with her husband and three children. She enjoys a variety of activities, including spending time with her family, reading, and the great outdoors.
Dr. Morris Antonelli is a graduate of the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Dr. Antonelli served two years in the United States Army Dental Corps. He is a member of the American Dental Association and numerous dental organizations. He is a fellow of the American College of Dentists.
Dr. Antonelli served as president of the Southern Maryland Dental Society in 1979 and as president of the Maryland State Dental Association in 1984. Dr. Antonelli was previously in practice for 43 years in Beltsville, MD. He is well versed in all phases of restorative dentistry.

Dental Hygienist Mindy Peterson was the top graduate of her dental hygiene class in Baltimore. Mindy has been in practice for over 32 years, and is licensed in the District of Columbia.

Office Manager Ann Mayo has worked in the field of dentistry for over 12 years, which experience allows her to ensure that our practice is operating at peak efficiency and that our patients receive the best care starting from the moment they enter the practice. Her previous experience includes positions as a dental assistant, patient care coordinator, as well as an office administrator. Ann continuously updates her skills and remains current with the field of dentistry, attending numerous seminars and continuing education courses to improve her practice and management skills.
Having grown up in the field, Ann has a strong passion for the field of dentistry. Her father is a retired general dentist, her uncle is a cosmetic dentist in North Carolina, and her brother is a pre-dentistry student at The University of Miami. Previously, Ann attended The University of Maryland, Eastern Shore and Montgomery College, and is presently seeking a degree in Business and Marketing.

Dental Assistant Alec Li, a native of Russia, enjoys assisting Dr. Obholz and Dr. Antonelli and is devoted to providing uncompromising clinical excellence. His goal is to create an enjoyable atmosphere of comfort and relaxation for patients during their visit. Alec considers his patience and orientation to detail as strengths, which he employs to the benefit of the practice and its patients.
Alec’s love for dentistry and its practice comes from the fact that he had previously received a D.D.S. degree from Moscow University of Medicine and Dentistry and is pursuing his dental license in the United States. Mr. Li is x-ray, CPR, and Invisalign certified. Alec enjoys cycling, skiing, fishing, and spending time with his wife and daughter. He resides in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Dental Assistant Tatiana Godina is a native of Moldova, Eastern Europe. Tatiana has an immense interest in dentistry and enjoys assisting Dr. Obholz. She is devoted to keeping the office organized and in proper order. She has previously acquired experience by working in dental offices in the Baltimore and Washington areas. She is CPR certified. Tatiana is expanding her dental education by attending various seminars with other staff members as well as training with the doctors.
Tatiana was an honors graduate of North Central High School in 2002 and attended Indiana University-Purdue University of Indianapolis for two years. Tatiana is working towards an English degree at Howard Community College in Columbia, Maryland. She speaks four languages – Russian, French, Spanish, and English. She also provides translating and interpreting services and is an Associate Member of the American Translators Association. Tatiana enjoys writing poetry, whose work has previously been published and won numerous awards. She also enjoys reading, cooking, writing, traveling, flowers, and spending time at the beach. She resides in Columbia, Maryland with her family and two lovely cats.
